BAPTISTA, Maria (Lopes)  Of East Boston, August 12, 2017

Beloved mother of George Baptista and his wife Elizabeth of Boxford, Anthony Baptista and his wife Karen of South Boston, Ana Lobo and her husband Joao of Florida, Marie Chochrek and her husband Michael of Salisbury and the late Daniel Lopes.

Sister of Joaquim Costa of Florida and the late Alfred Lopes and Maria Dalomba.

Maria is also lovingly survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, two great-great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Magrath Funeral Home, 325 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON Friday morning, August 18, at 9.  Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston at 10 o'clock.  Relatives and friends invited.  Visiting hours Thursday, August 17, 4 - 8 PM.

Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody

Maria came to the United States from Cabo Verde in the early 1960's.  She especially enjoyed her plants, baking and doing arts and crafts projects.
