Michael Shane Pires

PIRES, Michael Shane  In Lynn, formerly of Everett, suddenly September 27, 2017.

Beloved son of Donna (Steward) Pires-Ford, the late Michael Pires and Scott Ford who was his "Dad".  Devoted brother of Eric Pires of Lynn, Heather Melo of Lynn and Holly Ford of Everett.

Loving grandson of Marilyn (Como) Pires of Melrose and the late Bernardo "Bernie" Pires, Rita Swan and Harris Steward.

Proud uncle of Athena Vivian Rose Melo.  Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Magrath Funeral Home, 325 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON on Saturday, October 7, 4 - 6:30 PM. Followed by a Prayer Service and Military Honors at 6:30.

Michael bravely served in the United States Army and was the recipient of many awards including the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, 2 Meritorious Unit Commendations, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, 2 Overseas Service Ribbons and the Army Good Conduct Medal.

In lieu of flowers donations to the GoFundMe page established by Michael's family would be appreciated.

Indoor parking and entrance to funeral is available from 340 Bremen St.

Family and friends are invited to attend the interment of Michael's ashes at Holy Cross Cemetery on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11 AM.  Please meet at the grave located South Saint Clement Ave, Sec. 2, Path 62 Grave 41.
