McGRATH, George E. Sr.  In Winthrop, formerly of East Boston, October 13, 2017.  Beloved husband of 67 years to Ann M. (Nolan) McGrath.

Loving father of Douglas McGrath and his wife Cheryl of Saugus, Annie McGrath Cheney, Patricia J. McGrath, Mary E. Hogan and her husband David, and the late George E. McGrath Jr and his surviving wife Jane, all of Winthrop. Father-in-law of Lois McGrath of Revere.

George is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Magrath Funeral Home, 325 Chelsea St.[at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON Friday, October 20, 2017, at 8:45. Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10 o'clock.  Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday, October 19, 4 - 8 PM.

Interment with Military Honors at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Friday at 2:15 PM

George was a proud American, devoted family man and great friend.

Late retired Chief Master Sergeant United States Air National Guard.  Veteran US Navy WW II

In lieu of flowers donations in George's memory to National Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated.
