Alan Magaletta Obituary

MAGALETTA, Alan R.  In Everett, formerly of East Boston died at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on October 19, 2021.  Beloved son of the late Roberta (Bradley) and Vito Magaletta.

Loving brother of Joan Ciampa of Revere and the late Roger "Pinky" and his surviving wife Josephine Magaletta of Groton.

Adored uncle of Denise Palladino, Janice Pasquariello, Carol Giragos and Lynne Magaletta and is also survived by many grand nieces, grand nephews, great-grand nieces and great-grand nephews.

Alan was the bridge between the generations for his four nieces and their parents. He would often take them to concerts and events, almost as an older brother.

Alan attended Boston Latin School and UMass. His proficiency in Latin and French began with his education at Boston Latin and continued throughout his lifetime.

Alan was a retired tax examiner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

He was an knowledgeable and enthusiastic fan of all sports, but especially the Boston Bruins and the Boston Red Sox. He had a welcoming spirit making strangers feel like family and enjoyed telling jokes to everyone's amusement. He fought a long and courageous battle against all his medical issues.
