Anthony F. D'Elia

D'ELIA, Anthony F.  Of Revere, formerly of East Boston died peacefully on January 4, 2023 at age 76.  Anthony was born as Antonio D'Elia on June 16, 1946 in Battipaglia, Italy.  He was the cherished son of the late Salvatore and Rosa (Gallotta) D'Elia. He served in the Italian Army before moving to the United States in 1967.  He settled in East Boston and worked as a carpenter for many firms and Union Local 218.

Anthony is survived by his first wife Hannah Mai (Guiney) D'Elia of Malden and was predeceased by his second wife Jane D'Elia.  He is also survived by his son Mark D'Elia and daughter Michelle Cassista and her husband George. He raised two of his grandchildren: Liana D'Elia of Revere and Anthony D'Elia of Pittsfield. He is also survived by his other grandchildren Michael and Nicholas Cassista of Hopkington and great-grandchildren Armani and Ottavio .

Anthony was the brother of Fiorentina Freda of Winthrop and Gerard D'Elia of Chelsea.  He is also survived by two generations of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning, January 14, at 11 o'clock in Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston. Relatives and friends are invited.
