Barbara Rich Obituary

RICH, Barbara A. (Marino) 82, passed on December 15, 2020. She was born to Nelson and Rita Marino in East Boston, Massachusetts on April 26, 1938.
Barbara graduated from East Boston High School in 1956.
In 1959, she married Donald Kenneth Rich of East Boston and then lived and raised three sons together in Revere, Massachusetts; Donald (Cathryn), Merrimac MA, Kevin (Mary), Smyrna GA and Kenneth (Rachael), Middleton MA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Courtney, Liam, Christopher, Andie and Patrick.

 

Barbara worked at Massachusetts General Hospital until she retired in 2000. After retirement, Barbara relocated to Naples, Florida where she spent the next 20 years enjoying the sunshine, beaches and good friends.
This September, Barbara moved back to Massachusetts, taking up residence at Kaplan Estates in Peabody MA.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Donald, parents and six siblings; Ralph “Freddie” (Scottie) Marino, Nelson “Junior” (Terry) Marino, Catherine (Mike) Dovey, Theresa “Sister” (Mike) Cocco, Francis “Frankie” Marino and Florence “Snookie” (Frank) Rosa. She will be missed by her many loving nieces and nephews.
 

Cremation rites have been accorded. Interment of ashes will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in a private family ceremony held after the first of the year.
