Charles J. Coggio

COGGIO, Charles J. "Shooter" In Peabody, formerly of Lynn and East Boston, November 30, 2024.  Beloved husband of the late Thelma M. "Thel" (Witham), with whom he shared 72 years of marriage.

Son of the late Anna (Scrima) and Jerome Coggio.

Loving father of Candace Wolf and her husband Frank of Ft. Pierce, FL and Cathy Surette and her husband Dwayne of Lynn.

Cherished Bumpa of David and his wife Dorothy Wolf, Mark and his wife April Wolf, Derek Surette and his companion Maria Ambrosio, Nicholas Surette and his companion Nicole Armata and Kayla and her husband Philip Hamilton.

Special great-Bumpa to Charlize, Luke, Jackson, Mark, Thomas, Christopher, Nicholas, Skylar and Philip III.

Brother of the late Paul Coggio.  Also survived by three generations of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph-St. Lazarus Church on Friday morning, December 13, at 10.  Followed by interment of ashes with Military Honors.

Charlie was avid Patriots fan, the holder of season tickets from 1960-2007. He also enjoyed horse and dog races, making a yearly trip to Saratoga Springs, NY.  He worked Bingo at St. Anthony's, Revere, St. Lazarus and Don Orione in East Boston. He will be greatly missed by all those he touched.

In lieu of flowers donations in Charlie's memory to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriner's Hospital for Children would be appreciated.
