Daniel Philip DeRienzo

DeRIENZO, Daniel Philip  It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Daniel DeRienzo, who departed from this world on Saturday, July 15, 2023.  He was born on March 15, 1970 in Malden, Massachusetts. Daniel worked at IBM for 25 years and retired as a Project Manager in 2019.

He touched the lives of many with his genuine kindness and compassionate soul. To know Danny, is to know his unwavering loyalty to all those who crossed his path.  He found joy in the simple things in life. He loved sports, gardening, golfing, fishing, BBQing and most of all he cherished spending quality time with his kids.  He had an infectious smile and empathic soul.

Danny will be deeply missed by those who survive him, including his children; Daniel DeRienzo, Gianna DeRienzo and Karissa Gualtieri, his former wife Wendi DeRienzo, his mother Ruth Venezia and her husband Charles Venezia, his sister and best friend Tanya LoBuono and her husband Vincent, and sisters Tammy Smith, Nicole DeRienzo, Tasha DeRienzo and Crystal DeRienzo.  In addition to his immediate family he is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who brought him immeasurable happiness throughout their lives.

He was preceded in death by his father Raymond DeRienzo Sr. and his brother Raymond DeRienzo Jr.

Visiting hours will be held in the Magrath Funeral Home, 336 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON on Thursday, July 20, 4 - 8 PM. Relatives and friends are invited.

The family would appreciate that in lieu of flowers, charitable donations in his honor be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the MSPCA.

As we bid farewell to Daniel DeRienzo let his unwavering loyalty serve as an inspiration to all who knew him.  He leaves behind a legacy of devotion and commitment that will continue to resonate in our lives. May Daniel DeRienzo's soul find eternal peace.
