Emma M. (Pagliarulo) Vanni

VANNI, Emma M. (Pagliarulo)  Of East Boston, formerly of Boston's North End, October 4, 2023 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Rennet Vanni.  Loving daughter of the late Immaculata (Salvatore) and Pasquale Pagliarulo.

Devoted mother of Sandra Vanni and her partner Patricia Duncan of Saugus, Stephen Vanni and his wife Susan of Melrose, Elaine Arsenault and her husband Arthur of East Boston, Marlene Vanni of Winthrop and the late Renney Vanni.

Cherished grandmother of Arthur Arsenault and his wife Sheila of Chelsea, Eric Arsenault of East Boston and his partner Gina DiGirolamo, Jayna Arsenault and her partner Robert "Bobby" DiVenuti of East Boston, Arianne Dellovo and her husband Kenneth of Peabody and Christopher Vanni and his partner Jamie Jandovitz of Wakefield. Loving great-grandmother of Katherine Dellovo of Peabody, Eric Arsenault Jr. and Abigayle Arsenault, both of Winthrop.

In addition to her husband Rennet Vanni and her loving son Rennney, Emma was also preceded in death by her brothers Michael and Albert "Butchie" Pagliarulo and her dear sister and best friend Ripalda "Franny" Vanni.

She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Emma's Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning, October 10, in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody.

Emma was an avid walker and reader, master of word puzzles well into her nineties.  While in her eighties she started taking computer classes and fell in love with watching golf on television. She also enjoyed bingo, playing the lottery and scratch tickets. Most important of all she was a devoted mother whose joy was found in her family.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (see address below) would be appreciated.
