Florence Pearl (Corso) Merola

MEROLA, Florence P. (Corso)  In Saugus, formerly of East Boston and Delray Beach, Florida on December 25, 2022. Beloved wife of Andrew P. Merola, with whom she recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Loving mother of Michele Merola of Saugus, Darlene Merola Anderson and her husband Robert of West Palm Beach, FL, Carlene Merola Alpert and her husband Scott of Andover and Corinne LeMay and her husband Richard of Middleton.

Sister of Cookie Riley of Revere, Sandra Giannunzio and her husband Domenic "Pucky" of Middleton, Frank Corso and his wife Mary of East Boston and the late Yvonne Battista and her late husband Bill.

Grandmother of Brittany, Kayla, Jared, AJ, Timothy, Dean, Alana, Richie, Sophie, Juliann and Caroline and her great-grandson Carson.  Also survived by two generations of nieces and nephews.

Florence loved doing puzzles, playing Bingo and especially enjoyed trips to a casino.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, December 31, at 11 o'clock in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston. Due to the many viruses that are present at this time there will be no public gathering after Mass.

Interment of ashes will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers donations in Florence's memory to the American Diabetes Assn. would be appreciated.
