Geraldine Rose "Gerry" (Anzalone) Costigan

COSTIGAN, Geraldine Rose "Gerry" (Anzalone) In Malden, formerly of East Boston, March 21, 2026.  Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Costigan.

Devoted mother of Thomas E. Costigan of Peabody and his late wife Alyce (Flanagan), Linda Motherway and her husband Thomas of Malden and James Costigan and his wife Karen (Albert) of Peabody.

Sister of Edward and William Anzalone and the late  Phyllis Carbone. Gerry was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two soon to born great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Magrath Funeral Home, 336 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON on Saturday, March 28, 10 AM - 12 PM.  Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston at 12:30 PM.

Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Gerry was born and raised in East Boston and raised her family here, bring her children to all their sports events and practices, before moving to Malden 40 years ago. She was a avid fan of all the Boston sports teams, with a special fondness for the New England Patriots. She was a frequent Lottery player and enjoyed going out to eat with her grandchildren.
