DRIVER, Harold D. “Chick”, age 84, passed away on Sunday, April 23,following a long battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side.
He was the son of the late Harold Driver and Stella (Genavitch) Driver.
Chick was a resident of Tewksbury after living his earlier years in Winthrop and East Boston.
His long-time career was with the Local 402 Painters Union, and included projects such as painting the Tobin Bridge. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Chick was a member of the Mohawk Club where he enjoyed playing cards and golfing. He had a fun-loving personality and will be remembered by all for his sense of humor and his generosity.
Surviving Chick are his loving wife, Kathleen (Bartolo) Driver, his two sons
David Driver and his wife Robin of North Reading and Richard Driver and his
wife Christine of Topsfield, his step-daughter Laurel Bucci and her husband Al
of Billerica, his daughter-in-law Kathy Driver of East Boston, his sister June
Driver of Tewksbury, and his many loving grandchildren. He was
predeceased by his brother Richard Driver and his eldest son Harold Driver.
A memorial for Chick will be held on Thursday, May 4, from 10 AM to 12 PM, concluding with a Prayer Service at 11:45 at Magrath Funeral Home, 336 Chelsea St, [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
