Harold Patrick Rose

ROSE, Harold P.  In East Boston, December 10, 2024 in his 104th year.  Beloved son of the late Elizabeth (Furlong) and Patrick Rose. Brother of the late Helen Rock, Cecilia and Margaret Rose, Dorothy Christopher, William, John and Ronald Rose.  Uncle of Harold, Jack, William, Patrick, Joseph, James, Thomas, Elizabeth, Lorraine and Helen.
Also survived by his dearest grand-nephew Robert William Rose and his family: wife Pamela and children; Jack, Rebecca, Robert and Valerie and many other grand-nieces and grand-nephews.  Loving cousin of Mary McGovern and Cecilia of New Hampshire.
Harold also had some dear close friends that were his neighbors; Frank DeCamillo and his wife Ann and daughters Bina, Paula and Sandra, Robert Tirone and his wife Maria and James Sinatra.
Visitng hours in the Magrath Funeral Home, 336 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON on Monday morning, December 16, 9:30 - 11:30.  Followed by a Funeral Mass in the Most Holy Redeemer Church, 72 Maverick St., East Boston at Noon. Relatives and friends invited.
Interment with Military Honors in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Harold volunteered for the US Navy in 1942 and bravely fought for his country.  He served as second class radio man on the USS Matagora, patrolling the waters from Boston to Newfoundland and then on the USS Alabama battleship in the South Pacific protecting Australia and the Phillippines. He served 4 years and 6 months before returning home to Boston.
Harold worked for the Registry of Motor Vehicles while attending Boston University where he earned a Bachelors Degree and the a Masters of Business Administration.  He worked as a budget analyst for American Airlines for 22 years before retiring and then volunteered preparing taxes for AARP members throughout the local communities.
Harold's family would like to acknowledge his wonderful caretakers; Kendreyah, Simon, Naudi and Souad.
