NOLAN JR, Herbert J. "Herbie"   In Lynn, formerly of East Boston, West Peabody, and Las Vegas, NV died peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 22, 2025.  Beloved husband of Barbara A. (Perry) Nolan.

Loving father of Lauren Dellascio of Lynn and her late husband Daniel Dellascio and Melissa Nolan of Delaware.

Loving and proud grandfather of Adriana and Daniel Dellascio.  Son of the late Beatrice (LaLiberte) and Herbert Nolan Sr. Brother of the late Freddy Nolan and Ann Matera.

Visiting hours in the Magrath Funeral Home, 336 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON on Sunday, December 28, 4 - 8 PM.  Relatives and friends invited.  Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston on Monday morning, December 29, at 10 o'clock.  Committal will be private.

Herbie was born and raised in East Boston and entered the Army in 1962.  After completing his service he joined the Boston Police Force in 1968, while also attending Northeastern University.  He retired from the Police Force in 1998 as a Lieutenant. Herbie and Barbara moved to Las Vegas where he could take part in his favorite pastimes - hitting the various table at the casinos and playing golf for the next 20 years. They moved back to Boston area for the remainder of his years.  He continued to enjoy a good martini, Hershey's dark chocolate, Oreo cookies and dining at "Jimmy's Steerhouse".
