VITALE, Jay M.  In East Boston, June 1, 2018.  Beloved son of the late Valerie A. (Veiga) and Michael J. Vitale.

Brother of Lauren DiTomaso and her husband Nicola, Mark Vitale, all of East Boston and Dayna Alberto and her husband Laurence of Medford. 

Uncle of Tyler, Deana, Alichia and Michael.

Also survived by several close friends he considered as "family" and 2 children who called him "Papi". 

Funeral from the Magrath Funeral Home, 325 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON Wednesday morning, June 6, at 9.   Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston at 10 o'clock..  Relatives and friends invited.  Visiting hours Tuesday, June 5, 4 - 8.  Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. 

Jay was a longtime bridge tender at the McArdle Meridian St. bridge in East Boston.
