Josephine was born and raised in East Boston and was educated in Boston Grammar Schools and East Boston High School. She married John, the love of her life, and they were happily married for many years before his death in 2008. She was a dedicated mother and treasured her daughter Kim. She also loved and embraced every moment spent with family. Though she was the eldest of many cousins, Josephine will continue to be loved and respected and forever remembered as "Auntie", who always had grace, charm and undying love and caring for them.
Josephine's personality was kind, strong and quiet, yet sharp. She loved to laugh and had impeccable style. She worked at various jobs throughout her full life. She worked at Bank of Boston and especially enjoyed her time working at Filene's Basement, where she was able to delight in fulfilling her impeccable taste
