DiCiccio, Marie (DeSciscio) age 95 of East Boston passed away on September 13th. Beloved wife of the late Paul DiCiccio. Loving mother of Anny DiCiccio, David DiCiccio, and her late son Victor DiCiccio. Loving sister and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Marie was a Store Manager at Alberts Hosiery in downtown Boston for many years. Along with her bestie Ann P. she was involved with the City of Boston Elderly Commission, Boston's Never Too Late group, Grubb Street's Memoir Project, published in My Legacy is Simply This issue.
Marie campaigned for a new Orient Heights Senior Center, submitted artwork for the City of Boston's Senior Art Project. She was involved in many bake sales and craft fairs at St Lazarus Church, including sewing Infant of Prague dolls. She was an accomplished seamstress who loved making costumes for her friend Allison's recitals. An amazing cook, baker, and host, she was happiest caring for her family. Lover of Jazz and ballroom music, and her Frankie Sinatra. Our mom gave us a magical, fun childhood which we carry with us every day.
Visiting hours for Marie will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 5 - 8 PM in the Magrath Funeral Home, 336 Chelsea St.[at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON.
