Maureen (Deeran) Nolan

NOLAN, Maureen (Deeran) Of Winthrop, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026 at age 82, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on September 18, 1943 in Boston, Maureen was the oldest daughter of the late Josephine (Sarro) Deeran and Sarkis Deeran.

A strong and independent woman, Maureen's adventurous spirit led her to move to Germany, where she married the love of her life, the late Frederick J. Nolan on February 15, 1963.

Maureen devoted many years to her family as a homemaker, creating a loving and supportive home for her children while enjoying the family business, Slush King. Later in life, she returned to the workforce and went on to retire from Delta Air Lines, where she was proud of her work and the friendships she made.

She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Kim (Nolan) Nieves and her husband Carlos and Mark Nolan and his wife Joanne (Scoppettuolo) Nolan.  Maureen was a devoted grandmother to Olivia Nieves, Sophia Nieves, Natalie Nolan and Ava Grace Nolan, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.  

Maureen had two treasured siblings. Although Jasper Deeran predeceased her, she is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Joanne (Deeran) Panzini and her sister-in-law Barbara Nolan, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

Maureen will be remembered for her strength, resilience, unwavering love for her family and the warmth she shared will all who knew her.  Her legacy lives on in the family she valued so deeply.

Memorial visitation for Maureen will be held on Thursday, May 28, 4 - 5:30 PM in the Magrath Funeral Home, 336 Chelsea St [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON.  Services will conclude with a Prayer Service at 5:30 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited.

Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family.
