Nerina Guarente Obituary

GUARENTE, Nerina (Carlucci) In East Boston, formerly of South Boston and Abruzzi, Italy on May 19, 2020 in her 100th year.

Beloved wife of the late Orlando Guarente, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.

Mother of Carol Chiarelli of Palmetto, Florida, Ronald Guarente of Londonderry, New Hampshire and Deborah Patti and her husband Nick of Peabody, Massachusetts.

Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and her special friends, Joe Schrippa and Nancy Paterson.

After arriving in the United States from Italy in 1931 on the passenger ship Conte Grande, Nerina lived for many years in South Boston before moving to East Boston.

Due to restrictions in place by the Dept. of Public Health and the City of Boston, all immediate services were private.

Family interment services will be held later this year at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
