Nina Elizabeth (Walsh) McDonald

McDONALD, Nina Elizabeth (Walsh)  In Winthrop, formerly of East Boston and the Beachmont section of Revere, September 11, 2025.  Beloved wife of the late Richard E. McDonald.

Loving mother of Linda Cohen and her husband David of Winthrop and Richard McDonald and his wife Jacqueline (White) of Waltham. 

Grandmother of Kenny, Cameron his wife Cayla and Isabella.  Great-grandmother of Madison and Hazel.

Sister of Joan Headle and the late Anna Jane Lindquist, Barbara Hansen, James Walsh, Joseph Walsh, Marie Boyd and Kathleen Savage.  Sister-in-law of Rosemarie (Ferragamo) Murray and Jayne Walsh.  Also survived by two generations of nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Magrath Funeral Home, 336 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON on Friday, September 19, 5 - 7 PM.  Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, September 20, St. Michael the Archangel Parish, St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 9:45.  Interment will follow in the Belle Isle Section of Winthrop Cemetery.

Nina and her husband Richard were the former proprietor's of Heights Donuts.  She was a retired administrator for Verizon Communications. Nina held many part-time jobs over the years.  She was a lunch lady at Northeast Vocational Tech, secretary at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Beachmont and at Schair's Fuel. Nina enjoyed spending time at the Winthrop Senior Center, St. John's Women's Club and the Ladies Card Club with her friends.
