Son of the late Giovanna (DiPietro) and Abel Panico.
Brother of the late Jean Volpe and her surviving husband Cosmo Volpe, the late Carmen and his wife Josephine Panico, the late Gennaro and his wife Cynthia Panico. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Lifelong friend of the late John Radziszewski.

Interment with U.S. Navy Honors in St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale
Sal was born and raised in the Boston's West End and moved to East Boston at the time of his marriage to Helen in 1958.
Sal was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is also a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.
