MORANI, William E. Sr. "Billy"  In East Boston, May 11, 2024.  Beloved husband of Shirley A. (Paz) Morani
Father of Shirley Butts Morani and her husband Michael Butts, William E. Morani Jr., Dianne Morani and Thomas A. L. Morani, all of East Boston.
Brother of Marian Loud of East Boston and Thomas Morani of Mansfield.
Grandfather of Paul Anthony Morani of East Boston and Justine Castellon of Tennessee.  Great-grandfather of Nicholas.  Billy is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours in the Magrath Funeral Home, 336 Chelsea St [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON on Wednesday, May 15, 4 - 7 PM. Relatives and friends invited. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere, Thursday morning, May 16, at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
Billy served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam Era.  Upon discharge he began working for the B & M Railroad, which then became Amtrak from which he retired. Bill was also a member of the Winthrop Elks Lodge #1078.
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Assn. in Billy's memory, would be appreciated.
