Beloved husband of the late Rose M. (Capone).  Father of John Ruggiero Jr and his wife Lisa Turner- Ruggiero of Marblehead. Grandfather of Laramie Rose Swinarski.

Brother of the late Angelo, Egidio "Jerry", Domenic and Paul Ruggiero.

Funeral from the Magrath Funeral Home, 325 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON Wednesday morning, April 13, at 9. Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday, April 12, 4 - 8 PM.

John was a proud World War II Navy veteran, who was present during the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was assigned to inspect ships during construction and repair. He also served as a ship's barber in the South Pacific and was honored for shooting a sniper during an assembley of sailors on a "secured" island.

John will be buried with Military Honors in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
