Father of Karen Piacenza-Gomes and her husband Edward of Methuen, Stephen Piacenza and wife Marie of Winthrop and Nelson W. Piacenza of Beacon Hill.

Brother of Carl "Sonny" Piacenza of Chelmsford.

Funeral from the Magrath Funeral Home, 325 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] EAST BOSTON Monday morning, June 13, at 10:30. Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston at 11 o'clock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting prior to Mass commencing at 9 AM.

Interment with Military Honors in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody

Nelson was a former coach of East Boston Little League and Pop Warner Football.  He was also a frequent contributor to Wonderland Dog Racing and an avid boxing fan.

He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to Sacred Heart Parish would be appreciated.
